Garden Hotel Musem
The Garden Hotel Guangzhou is proud to introduce Garden Hotel Musem!
It is the first museum in China that focuses on the past and the present stories of Chinese and foreign hospitality industry.
The museum is located on the 4th floor of the Garden Hotel, Guangzhou Building with a total area of 1,600m². It has six permanent exhibition halls, a 400m² professional exhibition hall and a 360° exhibition room, and equipped with archives research, academic release, research experience, creative shops, light catering, and other spaces facilities.
The museum has been founded to preserve and commemorate the memory of historically significant events, with a mission “to remember the past, record the present, and serve the future.”

The Chinese New Year 2024
This year, the Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival, takes place from February 10-17, 2024. The Chinese calendar combines the solar cycle (year) with the lunar cycle (month) and is based on the exact astronomical positions of the Sun and Moon. The New Year is determined by the tropical solar year and the new moon at the same time. The Chinese year begins roughly between mid-January and mid-February.
The 12 signs of the zodiac were created in the Eastern Han Dynasty around 23-220 A.D. The zodiac signs are assigned to each individual year in a 12-year cycle and this is still a tradition today.
The 12 signs of the zodiac are (in the correct order)
Rat – Buffalo – Tiger – Rabbit – Dragon – Snake – Horse – Sheep – Monkey – Dog – Rooster – Pig
This year is ruled by the dragon, the Chinese’s favourite animal. Dragon-born humans (year 2000, 2012, 2024) are very creative and have a vivid imagination. They like to be the centre of attention and are more destined than others to achieve fame and glory.
